How it works

Walk
Start a walk in the app and head out. Location is recorded during walks you start, and only then.
- STEP 2
Your map fills in
Every street you walk turns orange, and the coverage % for your neighbourhood and city goes up.

Collect stamps
Walk past a landmark and its stamp is yours, along with a small fact about the place.
Already walk with Apple Health or an Apple Watch? Your past walks are imported, so they’re on your map from day one.

Questions
Do my old walks count?
If they’re saved in Apple Health with a route, yes. Untrod imports those walks, including the ones from your Apple Watch, and colours in every street they covered, so years of walking show up on your map before you’ve recorded anything new.
How is progress shown?
As a percentage: the share of streets you’ve walked in each neighbourhood and in the whole city. It rises each time you walk somewhere new. The streets you haven’t walked yet stay uncoloured, so it’s easy to see which corners are left to finish.

Is my location tracked all the time?
No. Location is recorded during walks you start, and only then.
