You like ticking things off
Watch the percentage for your neighbourhood creep up, one lane at a time, until there’s nothing white left on the map.
Untrod colours in the streets you walk and shows you the ones you haven’t.
Watch the percentage for your neighbourhood creep up, one lane at a time, until there’s nothing white left on the map.
Untrod gives you a reason to turn left instead of right, and shows you the corners of your city you keep walking past.
Learn a city street by street, and see how much of it you already know.
No goals to meet. Just a nearby street you haven’t seen yet, whenever you feel like a walk.
Untrod is built around wandering. You set the pace, and your map fills in as you go.
Ten minutes or three hours, every new street you walk is added to your map.
Walk when it suits you. Your map keeps every street, ready for the next time you head out.
Untrod gets in touch when there’s something new to find nearby.
Untrod needs your location to colour in your map. Here’s how it looks after it.
Your map is only visible to you until you choose to share it.
When you share a walk, one tap hides where it began and ended, so nobody can see where you live.
Location is recorded during a walk, and only then.
Untrod on your iPhone through TestFlight, weeks before it reaches the App Store.
Reply to any beta email and it reaches the person building the app.
Every street you walk during the beta stays on your map after launch.
I love going on walks and discovering new places, sometimes taking the route nobody suggested just to see what’s out there. One day I wondered which streets of my own city I’d never walked, and it turned out to be far more than I expected. That’s why I built Untrod. Right now it’s a one-person project, built in my free time, and I’d love for you to try it and tell me how to make it better. If something feels off, let me know and I’ll do my best to fix it quickly!
